Congratulations, Trainco Graduates!

Trainco sends a heartfelt congratulations to our recent graduates! You’ve all worked so hard to be the best you can be. We’re pleased to introduce our Trainco graduates to the world:

Recent Interview with Trainco Graduate John Thieman Jr.

Question: What do you like best about working for BTC?
Answer: I like the freedom of being out on my own. I only had to train for 4 weeks with a trainer once I was hired in, and then I got my own truck!

Question: What type of areas are you running?
Answer: I drive everything east of the Mississippi and some states to the west, like Iowa, Missouri, and Texas. Texas is great to drive through. They have more concrete highways than anywhere else that I’ve driven!

Question: How do you like driving for a flatbed company?
Answer: I absolutely love it! I even lost 36 pounds from loading and unloading the truck. The tarps can weigh up to 120 pounds so you get a real workout. It is hard to do, but they train you really well so that you can tarp correctly.

Question: Do you have any advice for our students and recent grads that you’ve learned along the way?
Answer: Find a company and stick with them for at least 1 year. If you have problems, put up with it. Make the best of your situation. It’s worth it in the long run. I would also tell students and recent grads not to worry about their income. When you first start, your income is a little lower, but it picks up after the first couple of weeks.

Question: What have you learned since Trainco?
Answer: I have learned to float the gears.
